Bearding

The process of ‘fixing’ something. Usually involving ‘nails’

Nail

A vehicle modified or designed for a very narrow purpose. Such ‘nails’ are generally un-suitable for general road use, either because they are impractical, or because they are uncomfortable. Also applies to unreliable cars. See Caterham, Westfield etc
