Loads of speculation recently around the press event at which Apple launched a bunch of new iPods. While these will no doubt go on to continue to change the world like their predecessors, I don’t think that they are really what Apple needs..
Apple needs a new mouse.
The keyboards have been made over, and damm good they are too. We’ve had the iPhone, the Air, and all manner of other updates and tweeks… and during all of this, we’re still using the mighty mice which are getting pretty long in the tooth (that’s if *anybody* is still using their mighty mice - my one developed a rusty usb connector)
On the horizon, we’ve got speculation about the Nehalem chipset appearing in some kind of revamped MacBook pro.. likley speed bumps for MacPros etc etc.. What about the humble mouse Apple, what about replacing that mighty mouse with something which works for most people?
Unless they are trying to tell us something. The mouse is dead? (Nah, that’s crazy talk!)
