BBC tells ISPs to get stuffed

Interesting story developing between the BBC and ISPs over the iPlayer, and the amount of bandwidth which it may end up consuming..

Apparently..

‘It’s a lose-lose situation for the ISPs’

That is utter rubbish. Customers want to stream media, they need more capacity in their connections. If you’re selling uncapped ADSL at a price you can’t afford, don’t go whining to the content providers when your business model falls over. If it wasn’t the BBC, it would be YouTube, or WoW, or XboxLive or PSN or Torrents, or Skype etc etc etc..
